Mr. Scott Baier, M.S.E., MA

Head of School

Mr. Baier is returning for his 16th year at Royal Palm Academy, and his 19th year working in the field of education.  In May, 2016, Scott accepted the Head of School position at RPA.  In addition to his previous dean of students/security director duties, he has taught 5th grade, Catholic Formation Class, Latin, History, and Geography.  As head of security for the academy and a licensed Security Officer in the state of Florida, Mr. Baier works closely with the School Security Consortium of Collier County and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office to ensure a safe and secure environment for the RPA family. Before becoming an educator, he served as an Intelligence Analyst for the U.S. Army in Arizona, Germany, and Bosnia-Hercegovina.  Mr. Baier holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, a M.A. in Human Relations from Oklahoma University, and a M.S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton.


Mrs. Estella Zeik
Academic Dean

This is Mrs. Zeik’s 10th year at RPA, 2nd year as our Academic Dean. She is responsible for the supervision of curriculum and instruction in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. She received her B.A. in Science of the Family at the John Paul II Institute in Monterrey and has earned two Master’s Degrees, one in Education and the second in Education Administration. She has also served our school as a Preschool and Catholic Formation teacher for the middle school.


Dennis Frodsham
Business Manager

Mr. Frodsham came to RPA in August, 2013 after relocating from Alabama.  He has served as chief financial officer at two colleges.  His expertise extends to human resources, information technology, security, physical plant operation, food services, and athletic program support. He graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He has an MBA in finance and international business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and post-graduate work from the Institute for Educational Management, Harvard University.


Ms. Susan O’Malley
Admissions and Marketing Director

This will be Ms. O’Malley’s 7th year as our Admissions and Marketing Director.  Ms. O’Malley earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Teacher Education from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. From 1998 until 2005, Ms. O’Malley taught grades second through sixth at the George L. Hess Educational Complex, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School in Mays Landing, New Jersey. There, she implemented the co-teaching models for Math and Language Arts, served on the Language Arts Management Committee, and co-chaired the Character Education Committee for which she organized the program’s meetings and guest speakers. Ms. O’Malley moved to Naples to teach third grade at The Community School of Naples for four years. Prior to teaching, Susan spent 14 years in Hotel Management in Washington, D.C. and New York City.


Mrs. Karen Evans
Administrative Assistant, Business Office

Mrs. Evans is returning for her 11th year at Royal Palm Academy.  Karen is originally from New Jersey, and moved to Florida 15 years ago. Prior to joining RPA, she was an Administrative Assistant at St. John Neumann High School for six years.

 


Mrs. Pat Bolser
Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to the Head of School

Mrs. Bolser is returning to RPA for her 17th year. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended the University of Cincinnati, majoring in elementary education.  She joined the RPA team assisting in the Admissions Office.  Mrs. Bolser has been our Receptionist and this will be her 7th year as Administrative Assistant to the Head of School.  Prior to joining RPA, she was the bookkeeper for her family owned and operated business here in Naples for 21 years.


 

Mrs. Lynn Mertensotto Girouard
Development Director

Mrs. Girouard joined the RPA team in 2015, bringing over thirty years of senior leadership and business operating experience with Land O’Lakes, Inc. and Morey’s Seafood International LLC.  Lynn has her MBA from the University of MN Carlson School of Management, her BA Marketing from the University of Notre Dame, and additional leadership training from Harvard University. Lynn is responsible for the Annual Fund and the Capital Campaign, including all activities associated with each event.  She works closely with the Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) throughout the year as well as assists with the three major fundraising events — Gala, Golf Classic, and Fashion Show.
